Additional text notations

It is now possible to add extended text notations against many of the pick list options in Instinctive Notes for iOS. These text notations are stored with the selected option and displayed in the SOAP note history. Where appropriate additional text will be copied from previous notes, either directly or with smart copy.

Text notations can be added to:

  • Goals

  • Referrals

  • Recommendations

  • Products

For referrals and products, the additional notations will be available for viewing by reception staff in Instinctive Notes for Web.

Updates

To remove complexity from our list selections the setting of favourites for pick lists has now been moved to the Settings area in Instinctive Notes for iOS. Tap the “More” tab and then your name to access settings. Items that are set as favourites will continue to be sorted to the top of the specified list, and a smaller heart will show next to the item.

To make setting review weeks for plan schedules clearer, a new review icon is now used. A capital “R” instead of a star. Select the “R” to indicate that the specified week should be a review week.

Add Cliniko medical alert syncing with Instinctive Notes

Cliniko medical alerts now sync in both directions with Instinctive Notes.

A medical alert created in Cliniko will sync to Instinctive Notes during overnight processing and then will be available in the Instinctive Notes iOS app and the Instinctive Notes Web app. Changes and deletions will likewise be sync’d overnight.

Creation, updates and deletion of medical alerts will likewise be sent to Cliniko. Changes are sent immediately after the record has been altered.

This process will allow reception staff who primarily work in Cliniko, and do not use the Instinctive Notes Web app, to see the medical alerts that a Practitioner has set or updated for their patients.

This feature is only available to Instinctive Notes Premium subscribers. More information on premium is on our Web site.

Improved mapping of Cliniko businesses to locations

Cliniko businesses are now more clearly mapped to Instinctive Notes locations.

This fixes a bug where a change of address for a Cliniko business would cause a new Instinctive Notes location to be created.

From now on Cliniko businesses will be formally linked to Instinctive Notes locations so if the details on a business are changed they will automatically be changed in Instinctive Notes as well.

Naming for locations that are sync’d from Cliniko is now clearer as well.

Support Cliniko Sharding

Cliniko now has database sharding, where data shard may independently be held in a different location from other shards.

Instinctive Notes now understands and processing Cliniko shards. If there’s ever a requirement to update your Cliniko API key with Instinctive Notes then it will be fully supported.

Simply add the full Cliniko API key into Instinctive Notes, including the shard at the end.

Add generation of schedule records for wellness schedules

Schedule records, with their associated plan and actual counts, are now created for wellness schedules.

The records are created for the number of weeks out from the consultation that the plan is set. When you record a note for a patient consultation it will also be recorded on the schedule.

This allows a complete view of a patient’s history in terms of planned consultation and actual attendance. The details are displayed on a patients schedule tab in Instinctive Notes web.

Improvements to the Instinctive Notes API

A number of improvements added to the Instinctive Notes API.

  • Add Webhooks to be notified when Instinctive Notes records are created or updated

Session timeout

Instinctive Notes Web now has a session time out. If your browser remains idle for 1 hour you will be signed out of Instinctive Notes and will have to sign in again.

Keep me signed in

To make sure you don’t have to continually sign in after every hour of idle time you are now able to set an option during sign in which will keep you signed in for 1 month. Simply check the “Keep me signed in on this computer” option during sign in.
